On February 18th, Ashley Jordan posted a story on Facebook along with a sweet photo of herself with Walmart cashier Sharnique Dasant. Jordan wanted her friends to know that even though Dasant was a stranger to her and her family, she decided to reach out and do something spontaneously kind for the Jordans.

“You guys look like you need a blessing tonight,” Dasant told the Jordans, and she decided to give them $100 of her own money to pay for groceries for their family of five. “My husband works a lot of hours. It’s almost his whole check,” Jordan told Fox 5 about the family’s grocery bill. She felt relieved and energized with positivity over Dasant’s heartfelt and random gesture.

“Me and my husband and our very fussy one year old finally got into the car and when we did we just looked at each other and smiled and at that moment we both knew things were going to be OK because there truly are good people out there. Thank you so much Sharnique Dasant you truly are a blessing and you will never realize how much you helped us out and how much faith you have put back into our hearts,” she wrote on Facebook. Jordan’s post has attracted nearly 9,000 shares and 36,000 reactions.
