If you’re looking for some mystery and enchantment all rolled into a little history, take a trip to Enchanted Rock State Natural Area located in Fredericksburg, Texas. Once home to the Tonkawa Indians, it is believed by this Native American tribe that ghost fires burned at the top of the Enchanted Rock and that the rock was in fact spellbound. If this doesn’t peak your interest, maybe what this state natural area has to offer will. Go rock climbing, study geology, do a little hiking and stargazing, or set up camp for the night.
