The road parallels and crosses Crabapple Creek much of the way. The creek flows year round and is sometimes stocked with trout upstream by a local fly fishing club.

The famous Willow City Loop is just a few miles east, but that fame brings people by the thousands during wildflower season, and the road can be bumper-to-bumper cars. When there are wildflowers, every county road has them. Opt out of that mess and find your own paradise.
