Via live stream on April 20, 2020, the Texas Hill Country’s own Willie Nelson will feature a variety show called “Come and Toke It” for the unofficial 4/20 marijuana holiday.
The outlaw country superstar has long been the unsanctioned guru of all things weed-focused in terms of health and wellness, including his hemp-infused coffee line, sold under the name Willie’s Remedy. No, his line of CBD (Cannabidiol) products will not get you high. But they are touted to play a great role in supplementing a “legendary life well lived.”
Come and Toke It will be the fourth installment in Willie Nelson’s self-isolation Luck Reunion live stream features. It boasts comedians, chefs, musical guests, and CBD experts, along with the Red Headed Stranger himself (who is no stranger to entertainment nor weed jokes). It will be played “all from the comfort of quarantine.”
The cannabis innuendo and marijuana humor doesn’t end with Nelson’s own live stream title. The online feature will take place beginning at 4:20 p.m. Central Time and will last four hours and 20 minutes. It will be broadcast via Twitch, on the Luck Reunion channel, in association with the Willie’s Reserve line of cannabis products. As a side project, it will also fundraise for the Last Prisoner Project – designed to assist the more than 40K cannabis prisoners in U.S. prisons and jails and “bringing restorative justice to the cannabis industry.”

In accordance with the live stream concept, fans are invited to #PassLeft on their social media accounts during its broadcast. In addition, “Luck will be asking fans to post a video of themselves passing (whatever toking material of their choice) to the left with the hashtags #ComeandTokeIt #PassLeft” and one lucky individual will be chosen randomly to speak with Willie Nelson himself, live on the air.
Willie turns 87 years young on April 29, 2020. His openness on the cannabis industry and his healthy lifestyle line of products has long been known and recognized by his legion of fans in country music. In a statement he released regarding the live stream event, Nelson said, “Come and toke it with me on 4/20 at 4:20 (central time). There will be music and good times. And, it’s for a good cause.”
