Wimberley’s Jubilee Fourth of July Festival
Patriotic songs and the true American spirit fill the air. Floats are decorated in red, white, and blue. Decked out tractors and unique cars of the past follow close behind. Police riding horses and military personnel walk in unison as fans from the sidelines scream with delight. It’s a parade coming down the confetti-lined road.
It just wouldn’t be Independence Day without a good old fashioned parade. For the last 14 years, Wimberley has sponsored one of the best. Rain, drought, or high temperatures detour no one from this American birthday party celebration. The main parade starts at 10 a.m. You’ll be mighty sorry if you miss out on this. Fourth of July celebrations remain incomplete without patriotic songs. It‘s this time of the year when the nation gathers together to celebrate the Independence Day of America.
Get into the spirit and sing along with some of your Fourth of July favorites. The Wimberley Community Chorus with the Hill Country Community Band performs Americana classics on July 4 at 1 p.m. and again at 4 p.m. Wimberley First Baptist Church at 15951 Winters Mill Parkway hosts the event.
Happy Birthday, America! Happy 4th of July, y’all!
