For the second year in a row, visitors to Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in the Texas Hill Country will get the opportunity to make a new holiday tradition. Winter Wonderland is returning to COTA in Austin, offering guests a great way to celebrate the spirit of Christmas – complete with millions of Christmas lights, visits with Santa, Christmas music, and even food trucks!

From December 6 through 30 (with December 9 having complimentary admission for active duty, veterans, and first responders), COTA will be reimagined into a true Winter Wonderland, featuring a tunnel of lights, a live music stage, Santa’s workshop, a petting zoo, camel rides, and singing trees! There’s also The Chinese Lantern Festival (traditionally held on the 15th day of the first lunar month, according to the website),  transformed using modern technology for an interactive event which is both colorful and lively! It will immerse its guests in the arts, culture, and music of authentic China.

New for this year is the opportunity to go ice skating on real ice on the largest outdoor rink in Texas! Guests can visit the pit area of the Austin360 Amphitheater (at the base of the Tower) to lace up and try their figure-eights or simply hold hands with a loved one while they learn to maneuver the rink. Not only that, but COTA’s Winter Wonderland will also be home to a Ferris wheel, carnival rides, viewing from the North Pole (a.k.a. the Observation Tower,) and so much more! Admission fees and dates/times are all available on the COTA link available here. Take the family and enjoy a Merry Christmas in a Winter Wonderland in the heart of the Texas Hill Country!
