Situated on 195.742 acres of rugged mountains is the Wyler Aerial Tramway. These Swiss-made gondolas are waiting to transport you across magnificent views of the Texas landscape and beyond. Located on the east side of the Franklin Mountains in El Paso, Texas, these aerial cable cars provide a memorable trip that transports visitors to the top of Ranger Peak traveling on a 2,400 feet long, 1-and-3/8 inch diameter steel cable, according to its website.

“From Ranger Peak, 5,632 feet above sea level, the visitor can enjoy the view of 7,000 square miles encompassing three states and two nations,” shares its website. The YouTube video below from the Texas Parks and Wildlife takes you on a tour of the impressive views of the landscape you can expect.

The top of Ranger Peak provides an observation deck with a 360-degree impressive view of the area made even grander by the pay-per-view high power telescopes available to make the experience even more memorable.

Visitors are treated to the beauty of the surrounding area with views of cacti gardens, and impressive rock formations along the way, as well as the abundant wildlife. “The four-minute ride soars above a vast canyon that is 240 feet deep in some places,” shares its website.

You can expect a gift shop, restrooms, and the tram is wheelchair accessible. “Tickets can be purchased at the tramway station to ride a gondola that will transport them to the top of Ranger Peak,” shares its site. A truly one-of-kind adventure inspiring you to soar to new heights as you admire the beauty Texas has to offer tucked in the Franklin Mountains State Park.
