You Have to See the Texas Rangers’ Newest $27 Sandwich
The Texas Rangers’ Globe Life Park is known for some wacky concession snacks, but this year, they’re really pushing the limits.
As part of a new food lineup at the park in Arlington this year, they are debuting the Wicked Pig sandwich that, according to Guide Live, has “five kinds of pork, six if you count crunchy pork rinds.” The real kicker? This sandwich will cost you $27, but you should probably split it with a game buddy for health reasons alone.
Also included in the new selections are a new hot dog style that is “doused in Cheetos-infused nacho cheese,” and chicken and doughnut skewers. Oh, and one more surprise below.
There’ll be a vegan cart on hand to serve vegan items. Vegan nachos, vegan jerky, and a salad made the 2016 roster of ballpark food in Arlington, which honestly seems like a personal insult to the sport of baseball.
One baseball fan, Twalla Grant, “has quietly bothered Rapp and his team since 2014, asking whether or not the fry oil contained animal products or if the hot dug buns contained dairy.” While this does make the ballpark more friendly to all regardless of dietary restrictions, the idea of a vegan cart still just seems so wrong.
If you find yourself in Arlington trying any of these treats, let us know how they are!
