If good steak makes your heart pound, knees weak, and emotions run rampant, consider these five swoon-worthy steakhouses. They are sure to get excite the hungry carnivore in you!

1. Murphy’s Steakhouse

No two steaks are alike in Murphy’s Steakhouse at 204 Thomas Street in Winchester because each Certified USDA piece is hand cut to order. This bustling eatery is housed in a building built in 1913 by German immigrant C.H. Schmidt and maintains its original tin ceiling, brick walls, and mirrored bar. The hours of operation are Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.; attire is casual.

2. Grey Moss Inn

Authentic flavor is part of the fabric at Grey Moss Inn, located in Grey Forest, just outside of Helotes. Steaks are grilled over mesquite charcoal on an outdoor circular-stone grill and basted with their “witches brew,” including organic herbs from their garden. Established in 1929, any menu item may be paired with a wine from over 600 options from all over the world. Open seven days a week from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., reservations are recommended but attire is casual.
