When my crazy little sister sent me a text in the fall of 2013 telling me to check out Fit for The King by Texas country artist Kyle Park, I had no idea my world was about to be rocked. When I heard “You said ‘Go On’ beyond the blue neon” I was the one gone. That voice! Never mind the fact that he took 31 George Strait songs and molded them together into one epic song, but that voice! When asked about it, he just laughs.

“I know now unique is good. When I first started singing, I was 14, 15 years old at the time. I liked music and I liked to sing, but I was scared because I knew I loved to sing, but if I found out people thought I was bad, it would’ve broken my heart.”

With 7 top ten singles under his belt buckle, including Make or Break Me, The Night is Young, and True Love, he no longer has to worry about that. Born in Austin, but raised in Leander, Kyle knows there’s something special about the Texas Music scene. Having his own label, Kyle Park Music, Inc. and creative control over the whole record-making process is something he values, and we see that come through on his latest album, The Blue Roof Sessions.
