The Bookshop Under the Windmill is right next door to the Patrick Heath Public Library in Boerne, at 451 N. Main Street. This shop contains thousands of used books, CDs, and DVDs at very low prices. Genres available include a large children’s selection, mystery/suspense, classics, cookbooks, military, Texas, and fiction. Paperbacks are only a dollar, and hardbacks start at two dollars. All proceeds from the The Bookshop Under the Windmill benefit the library by funding new equipment, supplies, public programs, and special projects not covered by other funding sources. They are open weekly Wednesdays through Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Boerne Bookshop is a new general-interest bookstore with an emphasis on fiction, history, travel, local interest, and children’s books. Open every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., this book store seeks to be a destination where patrons can relax in a pleasant environment while looking over books, periodicals, and other available merchandise.
