Following the visit to Nocona, the Moorheads stopped with their group for lunch at Buc-ee’s in Denton, a must for anyone on a Texas road trip of any kind. Then they proceeded to drive back to the hotel, in their Chevrolet Suburban, to rest up prior to an exclusive dinner prepared in the group’s honor at Southfork Ranch. A unique Texas-themed dining experience, the couple enjoyed a wonderful meal and hospitality at the iconic Lone Star State property, including photo opportunities on-site with a live Longhorn.

On Friday, May 10, 2019, the group departed the hotel for a tour of the Stetson/Resistol Hat Factory in Garland. Long making the quality of cowboy hat that’s been worn by such celebrities as the great George Strait himself, the John B. Stetson company was founded in 1865. It’s synonymous with Texan style, with products featured in films and television globally. Stetson’s legacy lives on in his company’s continued commitment to quality and hand-detailing. Each hat is required to pass a rigorous inspection stage before shipping to the end user for the ultimate Texas fashion statement.

For lunch, the “Made In Texas” road trip group stopped at Whataburger in Arlington. Because if you don’t stop at a Whataburger just once in your life, are you even Texan? Then it was on to the GM Arlington Assembly Plant for a tour of the facility that produced the very SUVs their group was provided. The Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban manufacturers in Texas take great pride in producing a vehicle that’s not only worthy of safely getting your family from “A” to “B” but also taking them on a road trip adventure through the Lone Star State. That’s a part of anything “Made In Texas,” and rightly so.
