Lots of storage room inside with the center console offering massive space. I could have sworn I heard a scout master loudly encouraging his troopers to hurry up or they might get lost. However, the center cluster appeared to offer little or no updates from last year’s models.

I thought the Silverado drove and performed better that either the F-150 or Ram 1500.

Silverado drove like a fine sedan as far as handling and roominess were concerned. Passing was easy, as the torque was more than sufficient on busy expressways. The Nav information worked effortlessly, allowing you to find and navigate narrow streets and housing areas that didn’t appear to be constructed with common sense in mind.

Prices ranged from the introductory LT at $45,200 to High Country at $57,090.

Whether you are towing a boat to the lake to catch that big ole bass or hauling dogs and gear to the hunting blind, the Silverado should be a good bet. Maybe you are a carpenter or plumber and need a good work truck. Again, Silverado may be your answer.

Even though Silverado seats six, I like it best when it is just my bride and me, out for dinner and the theatre. Dinner at a fine Mexican Restaurant and then attending the opening of “Fiddler on the Roof” at the Music Hall at Fair Park in Dallas is about the most enjoyable excursion I can imagine. Parking is no problem. I just park among all the other trucks in the parking lot. Look for the 2020 Silverado 1500 in show rooms soon.
