Pecans are something we’re quite proud of here in Texas. Heck, we’re silly with them! We even have the Pecan Capital of the World in San Saba, in the Hill Country! So, it stands to reason we know a thing or two about eating them, cooking with them, and sharing our favorite recipes including them.  That’s why we decided to share this next one, which is simple and oh, so tasty! It’s Chocolate Caramel and Pecan Turtle Clusters, and they’re made by Jamie Cooks It Up!

Combining “chewy homemade caramel, crisp pecans and heavenly chocolate,” Jamie Cooks It Up! has made the recipe link of our dreams with this delicious dessert. Seemingly made for Texans to enjoy (although with a little moderation, if you can), these little numbers will be hard to keep in the house if you have fans of any of the ingredients. With the holidays coming up, there’s no reason you couldn’t make up a few for your family members and put them in cute little treat bags for them to take home and savor later.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Step-by-step instruction and the full ingredient listing for these Chocolate Caramel and Pecan Turtle Clusters are provided at the link available here. Jamie Cooks It Up! sure knows how to make a Texan swoon! And we know their site likes them, too, because their description reads: “Whoever came up with the combination should be kissed on both cheeks, high-fived with both hands and given 50 thumbs up.” For a full batch of approximately 40 clusters, the recipe link states that it takes approximately 40 minutes of your hands-on time and roughly 20 minutes to cool and set. We wouldn’t be surprised if you’re shortening that last timeframe up just a bit with each whiff you get of their chocolate-and-caramel-pecan-goodness, because it’s to be expected with these babies. If you didn’t, we’d almost have to think something was wrong with you!
