Cookie dough bar businesses have been popping up in New York, and now, a Texan is bringing the concept to the Lone Star State with a line-up of thick, gooey, and delicious flavors of dough at Scooped Cookie Dough Bar.

Before you become skeptical about consuming raw cookie dough due to its potentially harmful nature, Scooped explains on their website, “We use fresh ingredients, pasteurized eggs and heat treated flour to ensure a safe to eat raw cookie dough experience.” And according to MySA.com, the business’s owner, Matt Weber, is a skilled recipe developer who already has dreams of spreading the Scooped brand. “I’m planning on this being one of hopefully many, we’re looking at other places around San Antonio, Dallas and other areas, I’m excited to be piloting it here in San Antonio,” he told MySA.

The cookie dough bar will open up in mid-October at 7400 San Pedro Avenue in a 200-square-foot kiosk space inside of the North Star Mall. Patrons will have a choice of around 12 flavors including common favorites like Mexican chocolate and cake batter, and soon-to-be new favorites like Lemencello (lemon-flavored dough with white chocolate almonds) and Compost (chocolate and butterscotch chips, graham cracker, and bits of potato chips and pretzels).
