“The Devils” Not So Bad After All

And so the men pressed on, and were greeted each day by the locals who assured them that the simple pleasures that they sought were indeed attainable. Over the course of the next few days, the truth of these words came to fruition in many ways… landing an honestly fought, feisty river largemouth and watching him slip away into the emerald depths… making camp in wild places with good friends.

In the end, the men vowed to come back to this place, if there was ever a need to once again right the course. Because, as it turns out, “the Devils” not so bad after all.
