George Strait, the King of Country Music, has run a successful, multi-year concert series in Las Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena. Now, he’s announceding new dates into 2020. Two new shows were just made public by the Texas troubadour, making for a total of six upcoming dates you could be planning to attend!
Scheduled for January 31 and February 1, 2020, the two new dates add to his Strait to Vegas shows, for which Gone West will open (with frontwoman Colbie Caillat). Ashley McBryde continues to open Strait’s remaining shows for this year, which are scheduled for August 23-24 and December 6-7, 2019. Strait became one of the first artists to perform at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas in April 2016. Since that time, he’s maintained his residency, playing several weekends over the course of each year.

In the interview above, George talks about the dates for the Strait to Vegas concerts and performing for his fans. Shared on the George Strait YouTube channel, the video features a rare interview with the singer himself, touching on the subjects we love most, his music and live shows! Since retiring from touring in 2014, he rarely performs on back-to-back weekends. However, for the new Las Vegas dates scheduled for January and February 2020, he made an exception. His current show schedule features the upcoming Saturday show in Foxborough, Massachusetts on August 17, 2019, together with events in Witchita, Kansas and Kansas City, Kansas, leading into 2020. He also has two shows scheduled in November of that year, to be played in Fort Worth, Texas. Having released his latest album in March 20-19, entitled “Honky Tonk Time Machine,” Strait has kept a full calendar in the music industry, as he promised his fans he would. The album has received phenomenal reviews, and since then, he’s announced the reissue of “Strait Out of the Box: Part 1” for September 13, 2019.
