Home to the oldest institution of higher learning for 175 years, Georgetown’s Southwestern University is just one reason to be proud of this Texas treasure. From natural wonders, great shopping, wineries, annual festivals and delicious eateries, this city is loaded with traditions which offer something for everyone.

Southwestern University is a liberal arts college for students seeking a quality education with faculty who take an interest in every individual student. With only 1,528 students, classes are small and opportunities are abundant! Set close to downtown Georgetown, a walk around campus will leave any Texan proud of the rich heritage this institution offers.

Inner Space Caverns is one of the “must see” natural wonders of this area. Discovered while I-35 was constructed in 1963, many prehistoric animals met their fate in these caverns, and their skeletons are proof. Spending a day here exploring will help you picture Texas as it was thousands of years ago.

Blue Hole is in the heart of Georgetown, and it offers a cool spot to enjoy on a hot summer day. Part of the San Gabriel River Park, this is one place to picnic, swim, and love life as any good Texan should!
