Get in the Spirit and Go ‘Soul Searching’ in New Braunfels

The event will be held on October 6 and 7, 2017 at the Comal Cemetery. In the historical narratives, volunteer actors dressed in authentic costumes will be stationed at different gravesites, where they will re-enact the lives of some of the town’s residents. Get to know some of the folks whose names you might recognize from New Braunfels’ public parks, schools, and downtown businesses.

The Comal Cemetery was established in 1868. It encompasses twenty-five acres and has 12,550 burials to date. The Comal Cemetery was designated as a Historic Texas Cemetery by the Texas Historic Commission in 2000. This event is family friendly and funds raised will be used for cemetery improvements. This is a walking tour but golf cart tours are available for individuals who need assistance walking. Tours by golf cart are offered during the first tour of both nights.
