Harry Potter Fans to Descend Upon Dallas For HP Convention Next Year

Texas Harry Potter fans won’t have far to go to attend the large, well-known convention for their fandom called LeakyCon. On the convention’s website, it says that the event will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Dallas on the weekend of August 10th to 12th next year.

According to Mashable, LeakyCon (which is named after the mythical pub in Diagon Alley and the fansite called The Leaky Cauldron) was first held back in 2009 in Boston and hosted “prominent authors, including John and Hank Green. Over the years, Harry Potter-themed bands and even a Harry Potter musical parody have entertained attendees.”

Tickets for the event are going on sale on November 12th, and fans can choose from three tiers. The first is a $59 single day admission pass, the second costs $149 for all three days, and the third tops off the list at $349 for a “premium experience” that includes exclusive merchandise and access to photograph and autograph sessions with the Harry Potter celebs who attend the convention.
