When asked how the company selected the rifle details with respect to how best to reflect the state, Clayton-Luce said, “This particular rifle started with a basic ‘black gold’ concept and then grew from there with the inlaid brass stars and the state outline motif on the buttstock. We wanted to make it stand out enough without being over the top. We have a number of great friends in Texas and some very talented artists that helped us put it all together.” He noted that Henry hoped owners would “appreciate the fact that it’s an American-made rifle built by a company that stands behind their products for life,” adding, “The smoothness of the action and the unique look of those inlaid brass stars don’t hurt either.” And he’s not wrong.
