Folk Fest 2016 Celebrating the day New Braunfels was founded, this annual event has got something for everyone. Sausage making, candle dipping and a costume contest are just a few of the events scheduled for this fun-filled weekend. Under 6: Free. 6 years – 12 years: $2. Adults: $5. 20th Annual Parade of Artists This self-guided tour along the Hill Country Mile in historic Boerne attracts hundreds of art enthusiasts from around the country. There will even be artists on hand demonstrating their skills throughout the event. Free.
