‘Hotter Than Hell 100-mile Yard Sale’ Happening This Weekend
Some might say that one would be absolutely crazy to venture out on a blistering hot Texas day in August to meander aimlessly around the Hill Country to search for yard sales, but to those that live for sifting through old treasures and trinkets, the idea is exciting! The “Hotter Than Hell 100-mile Yard Sale” is happening this weekend, in the heat of the summer, stretching – you guessed it – a hundred miles.
Yard sale enthusiasts will be traveling along US Hwy 90 hoping to find basic necessities, a few indulgences, and unique treasures on August 5 – 7, 2016. This larger-than-life yard sale stretches between Castroville and Brackettville, and hits every town in between, including Uvalde, Knippa, Sabinal, D’hanis and Hondo. Not only will there be various odds n’ ends to sift through, but there will also be city-wide markets, theater events, and antiques. It is an event you won’t want to miss, even if you will be sweating buckets!
People from all over Texas venture to the Texas Hill Country to shop and to sell at the Hotter Than Hell 100-mile Yard sale. It is an event that has grown immensely over the years, and as long as sellers are setting up along Hwy 90, there is no charge to participate. There are several other venues where vendors can rent space in Uvalde. For more information about setting up at one of these sites, contact the Uvalde Convention and Visitors Bureau at 830-278-4115 or email [email protected].
If you think you have what it takes to fight through the Texas heat, head on out to the beautiful Hill Country for a weekend of yard sales and fun. Slather on the sunscreen, stock up on water, and drive safe. Most of all, enjoy your weekend!
