A stellar season has come to an end for the Houston Astros as the Washington Nationals win the World Series Championship 6-2 in Game 7. It was a heartbreaking loss for arguably the best team that had the best record in the MLB this year. The Astros gave us a great ride all season long, but it just came down to the Nationals picking up momentum at the end and coming out on top to take the win.

It was a series full of plot twists, drama at times, great pitching, and colorful commentaries that made for some great memes, but hands down one of the most anticipated games that will go down in history as one of the best World Series Game 7 matchups. Jose Altuve had this to share with ESPN, “I don’t think I can handle this.” Jose Altuve, the heart of the Astros, said, “It’s really hard to lose Game 7 of the World Series. What I can tell you is we did everything we could, possible and impossible. We got guys playing since day one, 100 percent. We did everything to make it happen. We couldn’t [finish it], but that’s baseball.”

Astros manager AJ Hinch addressed the media answering questions as he looked back on the season and talked about the tough loss. “Seasons end really fast,” Hinch told ESPN. “I don’t care if you get all the way to the seventh game of the World Series. It’s all of a sudden, boom, it’s over. I’ve got a group of heartbroken men in there that did everything they could to try to bring a World Series championship to this city. And we fell one win shy.”
