If you are the type who wants a fancy building, refined décor, and formal place settings with tablecloths to fully enjoy your dining experience, then you can stop reading now. This article is about a place that does not have any of those things. But if you just really care about the food being cooked to order and how delicious it is, then read on about Glen Rose’s Loco Coyote, a family-style seating place where kids and dogs are welcome and a breeze is always appreciated!

Glen Rose is a small town, a little over 20 miles away from Stephenville. Known as the Dinosaur Capital of Texas due to many area fossilized tracks, you can take a break from hiking and wander down County Road 1004 to Loco Coyote. This restaurant and full bar is open Thursday and Friday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. A wait for a table is often the case due to the popularity of this spot. Take that extra time to peruse the menu as it features a wide range of carnivorous delights, as well as catfish and homemade desserts. Barbeque, steaks, and po-boys are just a few of the options for consumption. Start your meal with an appetizer of Coyote Balls!

The portions are generous and many patrons have recommended splitting orders. Also, the county is dry, so if drinks are planned, a membership will need to be obtained. Consider parking when forming an arrival time. As of Friday, May 1, the inside is open for diners to eat. There are currently 12 tables inside and 4 tables outside. Please note, each table has a six person limit. To-go ordering is also available, but getting it home in one piece might prove difficult!
