ICE! Exhibit Opens Up in Grapevine at the Gaylord Texan Resort
If Moody Garden’s Ice Land is too far away from you, check out this amazing event in Grapevine, Texas at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center called ICE! NBC DFW writes that this year’s ICE! 2017 theme is “’Twas the Night Before Christmas,” and within the chilly convention center, over 2 million pounds of ice have been hard-carved and constructed in the hopes that you’ll soon be there.
Those who want to see the ice sculptures are given nice, warm jackets to wear while meandering through a 9-degree exhibit completed by 40 ice carvers from China. For those who need an extra thrill, there are five two-story tall ice slides to scoot down along with “…12 lanes of snow tubing.”
Gaylord Hotels posted a sneak peek at this year’s event on their YouTube page, and you can see a walkthrough of last year’s ICE! thanks to YouTuber Can Do Mama below. Both videos convey how magical the experience can be and how intricate and surprisingly colorful the ice sculptures turn out.
Tickets are already on sale for the event here since it started earlier this month, but don’t worry, you haven’t missed out. ICE! runs through January 1, 2018.
