It is not easy wading through music options these days. There are so many outlets, sometimes it’s just easier to watch live shows. If you are looking for a local sound that mixes Texas Country, Americana, and Alternative music, then singer/songwriter Matt Kitchen might just be what you need! Kitchen was born in Baton Rouge and transplanted to San Antonio at age six, and music has always been a solid part of his life.
Things to Do
The Kitchen is Cooking: The Music of Matt Kitchen

Matt’s grandfather gave him his first guitar when he was 15, and his writing and singing took off. Nostalgia of the 1990s and 2000s is not often something you hear in the country music circuit, but Matt makes it work!
A true entertainer who easily tailors to the crowd for each show, he is worth keeping an eye on. Formerly part of a band, catch his upcoming solo act at Bella on the Vine, on October 26 in Converse, which is 15 miles northeast of downtown San Antonio. Find him on social media or listen to his music before a live show on Reverb Nation.

Bella on the Vine is a new, unique venue which contains a 4,500-square foot ballroom/banquet hall, a full-bar tavern with a sports bar area, a great menu, and a delightful outdoor courtyard with corn-hole boards plus bocce ball setup. Check out Matt Kitchen while warming up next to a fire pit and enjoying a variety of hand-picked wines. Parking is onsite, free, and abundant! If you can’t make the show, Bella on the Vine is otherwise open Tuesdays through Saturdays, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Each area is also rentable. It’s surely worth a trip to see the community of Converse and support local talent, especially when the weather is nice! It’s the perfect place to hear great Texas music.
