Country music superstar Miranda Lambert surprised her fans by announcing on February 16, 2019, that she got hitched – to one of New York’s finest! That’s right, Lambert went and fell in love, and she wed a police officer. And the rumors are true – he is absolutely fine. But would you expect anything less for such a stark raving beauty as this Texas belle? Not only that, but the marriage was kept secret for three weeks before she made the formal announcement through social media. Plus, she wore a stunning lace wedding gown, fit perfectly for the affair, designed by fellow Texan Lela Rose.

So who is this young man who Lambert has called the love of her life? His name is Brandon McLoughlin. Other than the fact that he’s an officer who works in New York, not many details about the relationship between these newlyweds have been released. He’s younger than her by seven years (he’s 28, and she’s 35.) It’s also been reported that the couple met for the first time in early November when Lambert appeared with the Pistol Annies (alongside bandmates Angaleena Presley and Ashley Monroe) on Good Morning America. McLoughlin has been with the NYPD since 2013 and has worked crowd control after concerts in the same part of the city as the GMA show and a later concert the group played at The Town Hall venue.

It’s also been reported by PEOPLE that McLoughlin is a new father, as of November 2018, which makes Miranda officially a stepmom. The website identified other details they had gleaned on Officer McLoughlin, referencing his interest in running, dogs (a Miranda must), and modeling. This is the second marriage for Lambert, who famously separated from country singer and The Voice coach Blake Shelton in 2015. By all appearances, this is a big love between the newlyweds, and Lambert’s fans couldn’t be happier for her.
