We’ve shared Mo-Ranch with you before, and we were already head-over-heels in love with this majestic place. With acres and acres of scenic grounds feeding into the Guadalupe River, scenery and stunning views are everywhere you turn. But it doesn’t stop there! An epic catwalk makes you feel like you’re walking on thin air, a gigantic water slide lets you sail through the air into the river, and multiple types of lodging, from camping to glamping, make Mo-Ranch a place you must visit. In fact, we think Mo-Ranch is bucket-list worthy.

Could Mo-Ranch get even better? We didn’t think so, but then it did. This summer welcomes the all-new Snack Shack. A one-stop-shop for all your snack needs while you’re out enjoying the great amenities and fun activities, the Snack Shack makes this getaway spot an even bigger draw. Located close to the Guadalupe Riverfront, you won’t have to trek back to your camping grounds or cabin to grab a quick bite. In fact, the Snack Shack serves up snacks galore from chips, drinks, candy, popcorn, and those mouth-wateringly good summer pickles to more substantial food like burgers and Frito pies. All of this is within a short walk to the river. Let the fun in the sun begin!

The Snack Shack will also have available summertime necessities like sunscreen, bug spray, and sunglasses for those days when you inevitably forget yours or just want a stylish new pair for lounging by the water. Water sports like kayaking, canoeing, and paddle-boarding are always a big draw for Mo-Ranch guests, especially when the weather is just right. The Snack Shack will eventually house this equipment to rent to guests.

Now is the perfect time of year to make plans for water sports! But keep in mind that the ranch accommodates both adventure-seekers and water sports athletes as well as more laid-back, relax-in-a-beach-chair sort of patrons. You’re covered either way!

While youth groups and camps often make annual memories on these sacred grounds atop the Edwards Plateau, many families and groups of friends have also sought out this hot spot. Mo-Ranch has a long and rich history. It’s owned by the Presbyterian Church. However, the ranch is one of the most inclusive places you might visit in the Lone Star State. Mo-Ranch actively invites all members of the public to stay and play. Year-round, visitors enjoy the King Dining Hall, Pheasant Run Motel, or the lodges that sit on the property. The preservation of history and architecture make this a place rich with vitality and opportunities for exploration. If an overnight stay isn’t what you had in mind, consider a day pass and come enjoy a day of fun and sun at Mo-Ranch, then leave in the evening. Come back and do it the next day if you’d like!
