The month of April signifies some significant changes in Texas. Usually, it means rain showers of some sort, which are more tolerable when you know that the wildflowers will soon be bursting out as a result. However, the fact Dunkin’ Donuts is now offering treats that are flavored with Peeps has us feeling a little less damp and a lot more excited! These cute little marshmallow goodies which are synonymous with Easter are finding their way into donuts, coffee, and espresso effective April 1, so get there while the getting’s good! And no, this isn’t an April Fool’s joke.
Participating Dunkin’ locations throughout the U.S. will be offering these new springtime taste sensations while supplies last, and there are a few in the Lone Star State where you can cash in. How does a Peeps-topped donut sound? Never mind that – how do you think it tastes?! Probably like every childhood dream you’ve ever had, covered in white icing and sprinkles!

The partnership between the popular doughnut shop and Peeps will also see the release of such delicious Peeps-flavored drinks as hot coffee, iced coffee, frozen chocolate, espresso drinks, and frozen coffee. Not only that, but Peeps has released seven new flavors of its iconic candy for Easter including such flavors as vanilla crème, chocolate caramel swirl, cotton candy, root beer float, pancakes & syrup, orange sherbet dipped in crème flavored fudge, and blue raspberry. These can be found in grocery stores as we speak!

In the meantime, those who would rather play with their food can definitely do so with gusto at The Orange Show in Houston. The renowned center for visionary art is hosting its Easter Orange Hunt & PEEPS Art Contest on Saturday, April 20, 2019. “Using PEEPS and PEEPS-brand products, create a diorama, sculpture or other creation that tells a story, any story!” their web link says. And, who doesn’t want to have that sort of funny? Anybody can join in the fun by registering in advance at the link available here. It’s Peeps people! What’s not to love?
