The Texas State Railroad has begun its annual service by Polar Express to the North Pole! Running through December 28, 2019, they make every effort to bring the magic of the holidays to the Lone Star State by bringing passengers on a journey unlike any other. From the moment the train embarks on its journey from the Palestine Depot, you and your family will experience a wonderful holiday adventure.

In the spirit of the film itself, the Polar Express by the Texas State Railroad allows its young riders to take the train in their pajamas if they so wish! Passengers can enjoy the magic of the motion picture as they’re whisked down the track toward the North Pole. Hot chocolate and fresh-baked cookies are provided to passengers by chefs, and the Polar Express book (written by Chris Van Allsburg) is recited along the way. Passengers are also given the opportunity to buy the book along with their ticket, in case children want to read along for the ride. When the train arrives at the North Pole, passengers are greeted by Santa and his elves, who board the train with gifts for the kids, a silver sleigh bell, just like in the story. And for the ride back, you’re sure to enjoy the Christmas carols!

Shared on the YouTube channel of a Polar Express fan, the video above captures all the magic and excitement that goes into the journey. The ride takes place on select dates that are available at the link provided here. Fares, travel times, and answers to frequently asked questions are also provided on this site. You can also select from the exclusive 24-seat Presidential Car, as well as First Class, in which riders will receive keepsake Polar Express mugs. Following that, there’s Deluxe Coach, Coach, and even Open-Air Coach for kids to catch their first look at the North Pole and Santa, as the train pulls into the station. Although, your seat selection won’t matter to the kids when they see what a great Christmas adventure they’ll have riding the Polar Express, presented by the Texas State Railroad!
