Roger Creager is a Texas artist you want to keep an eye on. Not because he’s carrying the cross of the industry on his back, and he’s been made out to be the sole individual on whose shoulders it’s hinged, but because he’s never standing still. His energy for life comes out in his music. Although, the former part of the statement might have a tinge of truth to it (he’s extremely talented and continues to contribute to country music in a way many others can only aspire to), he’s constantly at work on projects that take an enormous amount of energy. Where does he find time for it all?
The Dallas Observer wrote about Creager and his choice of lifestyle activities by saying, “Texas country star Roger Creager’s website bio reads like a glossy men’s lifestyle magazine profile, and not only is it all true, it’s lacking what is perhaps the veteran musician’s wildest factual bullet point.” What that refers to it the fact that he participated in the running of the bulls in Pamplona, Spain, this year for the fourth time! His own website About page begins, “Whether it’s climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa, jumping off his boat to snorkel with wild dolphins, snow skiing in the Rockies, catching tuna 100 miles from shore, piloting his airplane to far-off concerts, spear-fishing around oil rigs, scuba diving coral reefs, surfing in Costa Rica, or playing music through the Italian countryside, he tries to get the most of what life has to offer.”
