San Martin Artisan Bakery & Restaurant Honors Fathers
Gabriel Castillo Directs San Martin’s U.S. Operations
Gabriel Castillo, the founder’s son, heads up the U.S. operations. Castillo said he fell in love with Dallas when his brother attended Southern Methodist University there. “We thought the dining scene presented exciting opportunities,” he said. They hope to expand with additional operations in North Dallas perhaps as soon as later this year.
Seasonal displays are very artistically arranged for browsing the marketplace. It’s the perfect place to start a busy day or to unwind from an especially stressful one. If you’re anywhere in the neighborhood of San Martin Artisan Bakery and Restaurant on Father’s Day weekend, here are their special treats for dads.
Father’s Day Specials
Michelada is a spicy drink that starts by pouring Dad’s favorite beer into a chilled glass. Add fresh lime juice, Worcestershire sauce, a hint of Tabasco sauce, and salt and pepper for a refreshing summer drink.
San Martin’s Centenaria Burger is made with gourmet buns fresh from their bakery and a grilled hamburger patty. Add bacon, Monterey Jack cheese, tomato, lettuce, and red onion; topped with their signature Ron Zacapa Centenario Glaze. Ron Zacapa Centenario is an award-winning Guatemalan Rum that’s aged to perfection. Press materials say this rum is “a work of art and an expression of patience, richness, quality, and master blending.” The Centenaria burger is served with either potato salad or plataninas (plantain chips).
A Spanish Latte is their Father’s Day Coffee Drink, and it looks delicious! However, if your dad is the health-conscious kind, he might prefer one of their hand-crafted energy smoothies made with a variety of fresh-fruits, or even a mimosa for weekend brunch.
