A Haven for the Arts

Ingram is not just a hunter’s paradise, but it’s also home to The Hill Country Arts Foundation. The foundation was created by Hill Country families as a place to celebrate local art, to develop art education, and to provide theater to the surrounding communities. The Hill Country Arts Foundation celebrated its 60th Anniversary in 2019.

Over the years, the foundation has built two theaters. The Smith-Ritch Point Theater is an outdoor amphitheater that seats over 700 patrons. It overlooks the Guadalupe River, providing a backdrop of lavish natural scenery for any performance. The Elizabeth Huth Coates Theater is an indoor theater that seats 100 people and provides a more intimate setting.
