Texas Cookie Delivery Tiff’s Treats Gets $11M to Grow
MyStatesman reports that Austin-based company Tiff’s Treats just acquired $11M to continue the cookie delivery company’s rapid growth. They’re planning on adding more employees and 12 new locations in 2017. The news stated, “The latest funding round was led by Dallas-based private equity firm CIC Partners, and ‘was made up almost entirely by current Tiff’s Treats investors,’ the company said in a news release.”
The company opened three new stores this year after a $14M boost in 2016. They were already planning on adding eight new locations in 2017, but the monetary boost will allow them to expand even further. The total growth will give Tiff’s Treats 27 locations.
Co-founder Tiffany Taylor Chen told MyStatesman, “We are humbled by the brilliant business people who are willing to invest their time and money into Tiff’s Treats.”
The Tiff’s Treats’s website explains that company started in 1999 as a super small enterprise run by two friends baking cookie in their apartment and taking orders over the phone. They obtained their first storefront in 2000 near the University of Texas. Now, they have locations across Texas and a couple in Georgia. Check out the menu for a list of their mouth-watering goodies.
