Sadly, Carol lost her battle to cancer on Sunday, February 28, 2016. Having touched so many lives with her warmth and compassion, Whataburger posted a poignant and touching tribute to her on their Facebook page. As of this writing, over 230 comments have been made to the post, many of which are from managers and staff of the Whataburger’s which Carol visited. Reading through the posts, you can really get a feel for what a special person Carol Hoepfner was. Whataburger undoubtedly feels the same.
