Through the dedication of their team, events such as the Mountain Man Competition on September 14, 2019, and their annual golf tournament go off without a hitch. It’s all in support of encouraging the participating families in their hunting and fishing trips. Working with individual families by referral as well as children’s hospitals throughout the state, the group continues to connect with youth who have been diagnosed with conditions which are terminal, life-threatening, and life-changing. Their waiting list consists of those prioritized by health and condition, as best as possible, while the group works hand-in-hand with families to ensure trips are adjusted based on a solid relationship-building foundation. An annual reunion is held by Texas Hunt for the Cure, welcoming those children and families they’ve been able to connect with over the years, in celebration of the joy this process has brought to all of their lives.
