Coming in at #35 is Ernie Zuniga from the local FOX station KABB in San Antonio, Texas. Zuniga is the anchor and co-host of Fox News First. According to his biography, “some of his most memorable stories include covering three of the four Spurs championship title runs, covering the great South Texas flood of 1998, and spending the day on the ‘Wheel of Fortune’ set during NFL players’ week on the show.”

What made him hot according to Buzzfeed? He was twice named the VP of the San Antonio Association of Hispanic Journalists.

Last, but certainly not least toward the top of the list at #6 is Eric Barajas from the local ABC station KTRK in Houston, Texas. He is an anchor and reporter for the KTRK station.

According to his biography, “one of the most notable stories Erik covered has been the crash of the space shuttle Columbia on the borders of Texas and Louisiana. Erik has also traveled to Louisiana to cover the Gulf Oil spill, and he reported from Austin, Texas, to cover President Barack Obama’s visit there.”
