There’s nothing quite like celebrating St. Paddy’s Day among the luck of the Irish to be found in Shamrock, Texas. The extravagant celebration has been an annual event since 1938, according to its website. It was even designated on March 14, 2013, by the 83rd Texas House Legislature, as the “…official St. Patrick’s Day Celebration for the State of Texas.”

Kick off the festivities with a rockin’ St. Paddy’s Day parade to top the morning off, complete with bagpipes serenading you along the way. Don’t forget to bring out your dancing shoes for the “Big Dance,” which is a Texas tradition, featuring Shooter Jennings at the wheel strumming his tunes into the night.
