Looking to record the next country music #1 hit? Castell’s Riversounds Recording studio provides the creative atmosphere, equipment, sound studio, and accommodations for aspiring artists. Musicians of any genre are welcomed as well as those recording for non-profit organizations.

Owner Jerialice Arsenault is no stranger to musical machinations herself as she is a solo recording artist and front woman for the band Enchanted Rock. She also manages the Riversounds campgrounds and Merlin’s Cabin. Arsenault founded the non-profit organization Chemo Sabe, a group dedicated to providing uplifting music to cancer patients in addition to organizing, supporting, and providing recording services for cancer benefits and events. The group also provides newly diagnosed patients with support and resources for navigating life with cancer.

Five Reasons to Kick Back in Castell

With little traffic and the iconic Texas Hill Country landscape as a backdrop, Castell makes the perfect spot for a bicycle road race. Two-wheeled road warriors gear up for the Castell Grind each April at the height of wildflower season to power pedal through a gravel and dirt road course during the timed event.

However, this race is not for the faint of heart. Riders are expected to come prepared and are responsible for providing their own food and hydration. Riders can take part in a 100K, 72K, or 50K route through the countryside with maybe just a lonely longhorn for company along the way. All races finish at the Castell General Store where a lively festive post-party rewards participants. For more information on 2017’s Castell Grind, click here.

So whether you’re looking to do BBQ at the general store, record your latest album, pound out some serious pedaling, or simply spend a quiet day playing in the river, Castell is ready and waiting.
