Whataburger Releases New Chorizo Burger After Customer Feedback
Whataburger isn’t afraid to try new things like their recent, limited Spicy Strawberry Biscuits and Coffee-Flavored Shakes, so it should come as no surprise that they’ve flexed their creativity muscle once again to release a new Chorizo Burger.
For the few who aren’t familiar, Chron.com succinctly explains, “Chorizo is a flavorful pork sausage that is very popular for its distinctive taste. Simply put, it’s a Mexican family menu staple. It’s moved from taquerias around Texas and into mainstream kitchens over the past decade. Having chorizo on a Whataburger item is a big deal to say the least.”
KHOU adds that the burger isn’t the only new menu addition. Whatabuger is also bringing back a fan favorite, the Chorizo Taquito with Cheese, after customer feedback made it clear that people want chorizo, and they want to see it offered at the most quintessential Texas fast-food chain. “It’s announcements like this that makes me wonder why In N Out would DARE to invade Texas,” Noah Alvarez wrote on Whataburger’s Facebook page.
Unfortunately, the Chorizo Burger will only be around for a limited time, and the taquitos are only available during breakfast time (11:00 p.m. to 11:00 a.m.), so Texans should pull into their nearest Whataburger as soon as possible to get a taste!
