Fans of the show “Duck Dynasty” have known for years that Uncle Silas “Si” Robertson is married, happily, and has been now for 43 years. The A&E reality show featuring Si’s offbeat comedy never features his better half, whom fans have asked about and Si has referred to as Miss Christine.

Si Says She Has “Better Sense” For Choosing Not to be on Duck Dynasty.

In an interview with ABC News, Si Robertson revealed that Miss Christine did not say yes the very first time that he asked her for her hand in marriage. True to form, his exact statements was, “I asked this woman to marry me at least 100 times. She finally said yes and hey, that’s the end of that story.” That being said, many have asked why he’s featured so much on the show, with little mention of Miss Christine. Si’s response: she has a “better sense” for choosing not to appear on the show.
Filming is Often 12-Hour Days.

The reason for this comment is the rigorous filming schedule for Duck Dynasty. Si noted that they often film for 12 hours a day and revealed, “…she’s just not healthy enough to go through the rigors of that. But, ah, it ain’t no big deal. She wants no part of it anyway. She’s been married to me for 43 years. The last thing she needs is to watch us on a TV show.”

He also shared, “Celebrity life is not all it’s cracked up to be! If I had a choice to go somewhere or stay home, I’d stay home. I’m a homebody. Christine’s the same.” A true romantic (that actually shines through on the show), for their 43rd anniversary, the couple renewed their vows. Just one more reason those Duck men have proven to be quite the interesting bunch!
