The largest wildflower farm in the U.S. is located in Fredericksburg, in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Experiencing its beauty for yourself is definitely bucket list-worthy. With the epic bluebonnet season the Lone Star State is experiencing, the addition of the many other gorgeous wildflowers throughout Wildseed Farms makes for more than 1K acres of blooms that will take your breath away.
From approximately March through October (depending on the seasonal temperatures), families flock to Wildseed Farms in Fredericksburg for a personal experience amongst breathtaking blooms which are beyond compare. The variety of floral crops which are grown there produce a veritable kaleidoscope of color. While there, you can expect to see tulips, sunflowers, lavender, and poppies, among other species.

In addition to the beautiful natural backdrops for your springtime photos, Wildseed Farms has also developed into a vineyard. They produce several grape varieties which are known to do quite well in the Hill Country. Their on-site wine tasting room is open each day for visitors from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. And they allow guests to take a beer or a glass of wine with them out to explore the property!

Although the flowers aren’t for picking, Wildseed Farms does have the largest live nursery in the area, including annuals, trees, and shrubs that would make the perfect addition to a Hill Country garden. They also make seeds available for purchase, so that after you’ve been aptly inspired by their property, you too can plant a Texas wildflower garden.
