Zoo Lights at the San Antonio Zoo is one of the most anticipated Texas holiday events. After the animals call it a night, the place completely transforms into “…a wild, winter wonderland filled with a jaw-dropping array of twinkling lights.” And you and your family can see it now through December 31, 2019!

This year’s event is sponsored by Whataburger and is said to be bigger “…and brighter than before, …a must-see for families that is sure to put everyone in the holiday spirit!” Visitors can get a glimpse of life-sized illuminated animals from the savanna, including a giraffe that stands 15-feet tall! Visit the Starry Safari for this and so much more. And while you’re there, you can sip on hot cocoa as you stroll through the various displays of holiday lights. You can also decorate cookies with Mrs. Claus, roast some s’mores with your loved ones, and pay a visit to Santa!

Shared on the Oak Island Creative YouTube channel, the video above features experiences from the first-ever Zoo Lights event at the San Antonio Zoo, in December 2015. This year’s event features a Latin-inspired Lakeside Light Show with pixel technology put to a custom soundtrack composed of Latin music. It promises to be one of the more high-energy parts of the entire show and will get zoo guests out dancing the night away! Throughout this entire holiday event, the displays are sure to enchant San Antonians and visitors alike with their beauty and intricacy. Lighted scenes will depict the very creatures that lie sleeping about the zoo together with holiday magic, sure to amaze children from one to 100! Tickets for these events, along with updates and answers to frequently asked questions can be found at the San Antonio Zoo web link provided here. Don’t miss your chance to enjoy this holiday magic!
