Deemed by its patrons to be one of the best-kept secrets in the Hill Country, Bandera’s 11th Street Cowboy Bar is the place to find yourself when you want to wind down in Texas. “BBQ, country, music and that small town flavor you just can’t get anywhere else,” is what YOLO, TX says characterizes the place.

In a video uploaded to their Facebook page, the group interviewed the bar’s regular clientele on a relatively busy night (which is not unlike many nights at this establishment). “…good tunes, distinctive decorations, and something new every night,” contributes to the 11th Street Cowboy Bar’s delightful atmosphere which attracts a variety of folks from throughout the Texas Hill Country and the great Lone Star State as a whole.

This time, focusing on the bar’s steak night, which is every Wednesday, the video is a mouth-watering tribute to Wednesday nights. Every Wednesday night, 11th Street Cowboy Bar opens up their barbecue pits, allowing for patrons to show up with the main course – a wonderfully amazing cut of steak – and they’ll prepare it for you, complete with all the fixings and sides. Interviewing the bar owner, James McGroarty, YOLO, TX gleaned from him the concept behind the bar and its atmosphere. Noting that the Hill Country and in particular, the immediate area around Bandera, is ranch land with plenty of cowboys, he planned the 11th Street Cowboy Bar to suit that Texas-style charm with a focus on family. When the sun goes down, the music gets turned up, and the rest of the night can be spent listening to great country and western music, dancing, and sharing a couple drinks with good friends!
