Because of the annual Wiener Dog races, Buda has become known as “The Wiener Dog Capital of Texas.” The event, hosted by the Lion’s Club, attracts participants and spectators from all over the world.
Last year’s wiener dog race hosted more than 20,000 out-of-towners. Annually, the races happen as the finale to the Buda Country fair at the end of April.
