The First-ever Bastrop Music Festival Celebrates Great Texas Music in Historic Venues

The inaugural Bastrop Music Festival will be taking place May 17 – 20. With more than 30 bands at a variety of venues playing great Texas music, you won’t want to miss this 4-day celebration! Situated approximately 30 miles southeast of Austin, Bastrop is an urban-meets-rural setting that offers small-town charm together with culture and a quality of life that make it a “Texas original – with modern day spirit.”

Located along the banks of the lower Colorado River, the Bastrop Music Festival will make use of the city’s historic venues in an effort to provide a great listening experience, from warm and friendly to large gatherings featuring the genres that crowds love. All musical venues are within walking distance of each other. Organizers have coordinated free daytime concerts with a mixture of ticketed performances, including evening events that start at 6 p.m., wrapping up at venue closing times. There will also be kid-friendly performances for the little ones, making this festival one that’s sure to be a memorable occasion for the entire family.
