H-E-B Ranks in the Top 20 for Glassdoor Best Places to Work List

Making it into the top 20, H-E-B was recently recognized among the Glassdoor list of Best Places to Work for 2020. Recognized for its company values, pay scale, opportunities for growth, and its benefits, the Texas Hill Country-based company was voted to the list by its employees!

Making it to the number 17 spot, H-E-B became the highest-ranked retailer from Texas on the list. The rankings for the Best Places to Work 2020 report by Glassdoor are based solely on feedback from company employees, which is shared anonymously. In addition to this list, earlier in 2019, the company Chairman and CEO Charles Butt made the Glassdoor list as a Top CEO. One of the recent employee reviews for this San Antonio-headquartered grocery entity said that it offers a “terrific work/life balance” and shows that “people really do matter…” Not only that, but H-E-B has a “positive, friendly atmosphere, talented colleagues, and defined long-term vision.”

With over $26 billion in yearly sales, H-E-B has been recognized as one of the leading retailers in the U.S., and it continues to grow as a digital retailer alongside its brick-and-mortar facilities. It’s also the largest privately-held employer in the Lone Star State. The company launched its My H-E-B mobile shopping app in 2019, as well as exciting new departments in its stores such as Beauty by H-E-B. Its hiring efforts in the field of hospitality has ushered in a new shopping experience for the grocery industry. H-E-B stores also provide a shopping experience that is second-to-none in terms of selection and service. The company is also deeply rooted in the over 300 communities it serves. Their staff provides supports in education, hunger relief, diversity initiatives, health and wellness, military, and environmental sustainability. The company continues to grow, identifying in 2019 that a new state-of-the-art store was coming to Kerrville, in the Texas Hill Country, which would include a barbecue restaurant as part of its offering!
