Gruene boasts its own unique brand of Santa: Cowboy Kringle. You can take the kids or even the family pet for a photo with Cowboy Kringle. Come on down to Historic Gruene and visit this Hill Country Santa in the breezeway between The Grapevine and Gruene General Store. December 20th is your final chance to have a photo taken with Cowboy Kringle, so don’t miss out.
The Annual Town Lighting kicks off on Saturday, December 5th, when Cowboy Kringle rides into Gruene on horseback at 6 p.m. Live music along with food and wine will be available for purchase. The 14th Annual Gruene Pony Express Ride also takes place Saturday. Pony Express riders from the Heritage Trail Association of New Braunfels will be in the Gruene Historic District at 10:00 a.m. Watch the relay riders carry a Christmas Greeting message from Governor Abbott. A temporary post office will even be set up.
