The time has come for what is possibly one of the most anticipated days in the United States. That is right, 7-Eleven’s Bring Your Own Cup Day is taking place this week, and as if one day of Slurpee madness is not enough, this year the convenience store chain has extended the promotion an extra day. On August 18-19, customers can bring in almost any container they can think of to house the icy treat.

From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the selected dates patrons can bring in their own containers, and for $1.50 they can fill them to the brim with their favorite Slurpee flavor. The only pre-requisites for containers are they must be able to fit standing upright inside a Bring Your Own Cup display, which possesses a diameter of approximately 10 inches. Additionally, they must be sanitary, leak-proof, and safe.

The company encourages customers to bring in their, “…sand buckets, punch bowls, beach cups, and other unique containers,” for the event, however, “…trash cans, kitchen sinks and inflatable swimming pools…” do not meet the aforementioned drink cup criteria, and cannot be used.

For those seeking to commemorate the event, a special Slurpee cup made up of a shiny chrome lid and body will be available for purchase through the end of August.
